July 13, 2004 -- When we think of the Borg shown in Star Trek: First Contact, we think of a dehumanized alien species melded from human and machine parts. Most of us do not think we are even close to having the level of technology depicted in that film. Well, we’re wrong. Visual Link Inc., an Internet communications company, and Xybernaut Corporation, a mobile device development company, have partnered to take communications and computer devices to the next step of evolution and interaction with humans – high level mobile computing in vehicles and on people.
