By
Jeremy Maddock
Web browsers are software applications which translate HTML (hypertext markup language) into recognizable web pages, allowing users to browse the internet. The first modern web browsers were created in 1993, and have been continually updated, advanced, and improved since that time. Some of the most popular web browsers currently in use include Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, and Mozilla Firefox.
